Muffato della Sala 2023 – Castello della Sala Antinori (0.50 l)

Muffato della Sala is the Antinori winery's sweet wine par excellence, made from grapes sourced from Castello della Sala vineyards located between 200 and 300 meters above sea level on clay soil rich in marine fossils.

Made from Sauvignon Blanc (60%), Grechetto, Traminer, and Riesling (40%) grapes, the distinctive feature of this Umbrian wine is the presence of “noble rot,” which develops in September and October thanks to fog and rain alternating with sunny days, attaching itself to the grapes and reducing their water content. The result is a sweet wine with floral and citrus notes, incredibly harmonious, excellent with desserts or cheese.
